Displacer - Arroyo
Canadian genius Mike Morton (aka DISPLACER) presents "Arroyo," his second album. After the very successful debut album "Moon Phase," he returns with an amazing piece of electronic music that you can add as another masterpiece to your collection of electronic music between BEEFCAKE and GRIDLOCK releases. The music of DISPLACER is built around ambient soundscapes with a futuristic touch, and in most of the tracks, effected electronic beats are added throughout the playing time. The atmosphere is a dark one built with complex electronic sounds. More complex than the debut album, "Arroyo" is made of many rhythmic and melodic layers both saturated and lightening. A unique atmosphere emerges from this album on which Victoria Lloyd (singer of CLAIRE VOYANT and HMB) added her vocals on the wonderful song, "Disconnected."
