Razor Skyline - Bitter Well
Probably best known for their 1996 hit "Queen of Heaven," Razor Skyline has been for the last several years one of the San Francisco Bay Area's best known goth/industrial acts.
The Bitter Well is primarily the work of programmer the_Gun and original vocalist Karen Kardell, and it finds them exploring some of the same material as their Journal of Trauma release, but with renewed passion and focus. Don't look to the Razor Skyline for techno-inspired dance fluff or dreamy, disaffected vocals - this is caustic, driving industrial with a serious score to settle.
Highlighted by a fantastic potential single in "Rebellion Lost", "The Bitter Well" is Razor Skyline's most refined and mature album to date, with better song writing and production values than any of their previous releases. If you ever feel nostalgic for their harder, angrier dance industrial of the 90s, or if you are tired of trite lyrics and whispered vocals, then The Bitter Well is for you.
