Tristesse De La Lune - Ninive/Time is moving
After long silence, TDLL return with a double CD-single that showcases the versatility of this group. Both will do well on the dancefloor and have the trademark melodic vocals, but they are otherwise - altogether - different beasts. “Ninive” reflects the group´s romantic side: mystically inclined lyrics meet dark ethereal female vocals in a song that seems predestined to take the listener on a musical journey into his very own fairyland. Mexican high flyers, AMDUSCIA, increase the focus on the dancebility of this track in their remix and deliver a guaranteed floor filler. The B-side, “Geheime Zeichen” is purest Synthpop and sports a quality standard that some acts cannot even conjure up on their singles. Single number two, “Time is Moving,” is dominated by strong sequencer lines, harder beats, and fat analogue trance-leads, resulting in a less dreamy, more down-to-earth dancefloor crasher. Fittingly, the lyrics are also more personal and earthbound. Musically, the song
effectively blends Synth- and Futurepop with the gloomy atmosphere of Darkwave. Strong vocal hooks by Gini and an enchanting guest performance by US singer, Rashree (of Indian origins and known from PARALLEL PROJECT), create an addictive listening experience. The second single also includes two remixes of the track by PANZER AG and NEGATIVE FORMAT and both versions really rock the house. It is no exaggeration to say that the group has surpassed all expectations with this double single release. The times where the group was stamped “ex-BLUTENGEL” are definitely over, as TRISTESSE DE LA LUNE have become a class of their own. On Out of Line.
