XP8 - Forgive(n) Remastered US Version
While only existing together as band for a few years, the three musicians behind the project XP8 have many years of experience in the scene. Singer Paul Toohill has been active as a DJ in Italy's capital city for more than 13 years, and besides the tour-and-concert agency he runs, he is also behind the radio broadcast ''Futureshock.'' So there's no need to wonder why XP8 received so much attention with their first demo, ''23 Reasons,'' released mid-2001. On their second demo, ''10111'' only six months later, there was a remix of the song ''She Says'' produced by Tom Shear (ASSEMBLAGE 23), which is included on this release. In 2003, XP8 escorted ASSEMBLAGE 23 and ICON OF COIL on their tour through Italy, and were received fanatically by the crowds. So it's time for their debut album (originally released in Europe via Black Flames Records), which is equally suited to the dancefloor or the living room. XP8 has the right soundtrack for every situation - from straight EBM to
Futurepop. This U.S. version has been completely remastered by Ted Phelps of IMPERATIVE REACTION fame, featuring a much brighter, punchier, and boomier sound than the original edition offered. Fans who already own the European version will be surprised to see how much clarity has been added to these already great songs. Two U.S. bonus tracks include "Your Heat" (from the Europe-only EP "Re_Productions") and "Das Licht (IMPERATIVE REACTION Remix)" exclusive to this CD! There is still hope for Italian Electro, through XP8. On Static Sky Records.
